P.U.M.A. (Professional Unification of Martial Arts) skills are taught by Dave Powlesland and his team of CRB checked instructors in Crediton and Copplestone. Dave is a Taekwon Do 3rd degree Black Belt Instructor, Little PUMA instructor/examiner and FAST Defence Instructor.
The aims of the club are to teach martial arts to all ages and abilitiess, assisting all members to reach their personal goals. The inclusive nature of the club welcomes all abilities and special needs are also catered for. The club's Child Protection Policy is available on the website www.puma-uk.com
Little PUMAs is a revolutionary new way of teaching 4 - 6 year olds, using martial arts as a training platform, giving children a great head start in life. They have lots of fun, whilst learning about respect, courtesy, discipline, gaining confidence and fitness. Life skills such as concentration, communication, attitude, social skils and discipline are learned in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
There are classes as follows:
Mondays - 6.00 - 6.45pm at Copplestone Primary School
Tuesdays - 6.00 - 6.45pm at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre
Sundays - 9.30 - 10.15am at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre
Fees, paid monthly by standing order:
Training one session per week - £20.00
Training two sessions per week - £25.00
Package deal - £70.00 (ask about these)
Licence fees are renewable yearly and are as follows:
£30.00 per year for first member
£23.00 per year for the second member
£17.00 per year for further family members
Dobok (training suit) £34.00
